Movement is an audiovisual installation. Visitors experience an ethereal and feminine atmosphere made up of fog, lights, video, echoing sound and soft fabric. By placing viewers in a foreign environment, they are made aware of their present states, giving them the freedom of forming their own realities. As visitors walk through the installation with their own perceptions, the impact is deeply psychological and emotional. I use videos of water as a metaphor for the subconscious and emotions. A rapidly changing and evolving material, water can be dark and fast or supple and light, but never static. The sounds consist of field recordings, water, ocean, and a mix of my writings and poetry. The fabric panels create a path that seemingly has no beginning or end.
